Meet your hosts and their cats!
Our lovely hosts met while attending Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and became fast friends. A shared love of books, cats, and Disney brought them together... and have been friends for over a decade.
Courtney
Courtney is a true Floridian through and through. She grew up in Dunedin, FL, where she fell in love with the Scottish performing arts, particularly highland dance. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Resort & Hospitality Management. Her passions include earth/space sciences, cats, and traveling both domestically and abroad. When she is not writing, she is most likely baking pavlovas, hanging out at the cat café, or spending time with her loved ones. She currently resides in Southwest Florida with her partner and two extra-large feline companions.
Val
Val was a voracious reader in her childhood and like most millenials took a break in her teens & early 20's before picking up reading again (no, it wasn't faerie smut that got her back into reading, it was Star Wars extended universe books!). She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & a minor in percussion performance. She’s a fierce disability & inclusion advocate. Her favorite things to do, aside from reading, is playing video games & board games, building lego, being with friends, going to Disney, and tending to her small army of edible & tropical plants. She lives in Southwest Florida with her partner of over a decade.
Ally
Allyson grew up in Tampa, FL and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health. While working in the public health field, she found her passion for working with kids and pursued a career in teaching. She will begin her journey in obtaining a Masters degree in Library Sciences within the next couple years. Ally is the epitome of a bookworm (or her preferred descriptor: bookdragon): listening to audiobooks, buying books, talking about books and collecting books. When not reading, her other hobbies include drawing, pottery, travel, perusing antique stores.
She also collects rocks.
